Chongqing Cummins made a striking appearance at the event, launching its 19L Multi-Fuel Platform methanol-fueled power generation engine on-site. It also displayed two flagship models: the new-generation electronically controlled QSK38 engine and the K50N gas engine.

Chai Ruimin, General Manager of Chongqing Cummins; Yu Hai, Deputy General Manager of Chongqing Cummins; Jing Shuai, General Manager of Cummins Power Generation East Asia & Asia Pacific; and Yang Hui, General Manager of Cummins Power Systems China Power Business, together with representatives of strategic partners, attended the Power Expo to witness Chongqing Cummins’ latest achievements in the power generation sector.

19L Multi-Fuel Platform Methanol Power Generation Engine
At Booth in Hall N2, Chongqing Cummins launched the 19L Multi-Fuel Platform methanol power generation engine.
Equipped with advanced configurations including port multi-point injection, high-energy ignition system, Miller-cycle dedicated camshaft and high-efficiency turbocharger, the engine delivers efficient methanol combustion and reliable cold start at low temperatures. It achieves a thermal efficiency of 44.6% and operates stably within an ambient temperature range of -35℃ to 50℃. Key components adopt alcohol-resistant and anti-corrosion designs to ensure outstanding reliability and long service life.
Compared with diesel engines, it cuts carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 18%, reducing carbon emissions by around 45 tons per 1,000 operating hours. Emissions of NOx, PM, CO and other pollutants are also substantially lowered.
QSK38 New Platform Electronic Control Engine
At this Power Expo, the new-generation electronically controlled QSK38 engine exhibited by Chongqing Cummins has won wide acclaim.
Fitted with the second-generation turbocharging system and Cummins high-pressure common rail fuel system, it ensures highly efficient combustion and delivers a maximum power of 1548 kW. The engine features excellent high-altitude performance, maintaining full power at an altitude of 3,500 meters. Its transient response complies with ISO 8528 G3 standard, leading the industry. It is widely applicable to power generation, marine, construction machinery and other fields.
K50N Gas Engine
The K50N gas engine displayed by Chongqing Cummins also drew great attention.
It features wide fuel gas adaptability and runs on natural gas, associated petroleum gas, biogas and other gaseous fuels. It also boasts intelligent fuel control, flexible configuration, low total cost of ownership and digital connectivity. Supported by high-precision electronic fuel control technology, the engine adapts to a wide range of heat values and offers exceptional configuration flexibility, delivering highly competitive solutions tailored to customer needs.
With a high level of component commonality and local sourcing, the K50N achieves an overhaul interval of up to 10 years. Connected to the IoT platform, it enables condition monitoring and predictive maintenance, greatly improving operational efficiency.
At the launch event, Chai Ruimin, General Manager of Chongqing Cummins, stated:
